How to play Klondike Solitaire with Big Cards

Move all 52 cards onto the four foundations, building each suit up in order from ace to king. Clear every card and you win.

Seven tableau columns hold one to seven cards, with only the top card face up. The rest form the stock. On this page the cards render at their largest size.

On the tableau, build downward in alternating colors: a red six goes on a black seven.
Tap or drag a card to move it; face-up runs move together.
Tap the stock to deal to the waste. When the stock runs out, tap again to recycle it, as often as you like.
Only a king can fill an empty column, and aces start the foundations.

Tips for a relaxed game

Take your time. There is no clock pressure; the timer is just a stat, and you can hide it in Settings.
Flip face-down cards before anything else; uncovering the board is the real work.
Use single tap to move: tap any card and it travels to its best spot with no dragging needed.

This is the same classic Klondike as our main table, drawn with the largest cards the board allows. Bigger numbers, bigger suit symbols, more space between piles your eye has to tell apart. If regular solitaire cards make you lean toward the screen, this page is for you.

Nothing about the game itself changes: same deal, same moves, same odds, and the how to play guide applies word for word. Draw 1 and draw 3 both work here through the settings menu, exactly like the classic table.

Built for comfortable reading

Card faces here use large corner numbers and clean suit shapes rather than ornate artwork, so a jack of clubs reads as a jack of clubs at a glance. On a desktop or tablet screen the difference is immediate. On a narrow phone screen the seven columns still share the width, so the gain is smaller there; turning the phone sideways gives the big cards room to work.

Two settings pair well with this page. High contrast, under Theme, redraws the table in strong black and white for the clearest possible edges. And if tapping precisely is fiddly, the default single-tap mode already moves a card to its best home without any dragging.

That saves the choice in your browser and applies it to every table on the site, including the daily challenge. This page simply has the size switched on for its own board from the start, and it never changes your saved settings. How much bigger are the cards on this page?

The size cap rises by a third, from 132 to 176 pixels of card width on screens with room to spare. Corner numbers and suit symbols scale up with the card, which is where the readability gain comes from. On small phone screens, cards still shrink to keep all seven columns visible.

Can I get big cards on every page, not just this one?

Yes. Open the Settings menu on any game page and turn on Big cards under the Table heading. The choice is saved in your browser and applies across the whole site until you turn it off. This page is simply a table where the larger size is already switched on.

Will the board still fit on my screen?

Yes. Card size is a cap, not a fixed value: the board measures your screen and never lets the seven columns overflow it. On wide screens you get the full-size cards; on narrow ones the cards shrink to fit. Nothing ever hangs off the edge or needs sideways scrolling.

Is the game itself any different with big cards?

No. The rules, the shuffles, the scoring, and your odds of winning are identical to the classic table, and your stats are shared with it. Big cards changes how the game looks, not how it plays. If you want an easier game, the turn 1 rule set is the lever for that.
